(KJV) Leviticus 1:9
But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord.
AROMA PLEASING TO THE LORD / LEVITICUS 1:9
God was pleased with a person who offered a sacrifice in humble, obedient faith. In the New Testament, Paul uses this type of word picture to describe Christ’s sacrifice (Ephesians 5:2) and believers’ good deeds (Philippians 4:18; Hebrews 13:16). Both are offerings that please God.
