STEPHEN … GOD’S GRACE AND POWER / ACTS 6:8

(KJV) Acts 6:8

And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

In Acts 6:8, we encounter a profound description of Stephen: a man “full of God’s grace and power” who performed great wonders and signs among the people. Stephen was not an apostle; he was originally chosen simply to oversee the daily distribution of food to widows. Yet, his deep devotion to Christ transformed his ordinary service into an extraordinary ministry.

Stephen’s life demonstrates that spiritual impact is not about our title, but our surrender. Because he was completely yielded to the Holy Spirit, God’s favor rested heavily upon him. This divine grace gave him the strength to endure fierce opposition, while God’s power enabled him to speak uncompromised truth with unshakeable wisdom. When we align our hearts with Christ, the same Holy Spirit empowers us to reflect His light, speak His truth, and serve others with supernatural love.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the powerful example of Your servant Stephen. We ask that You fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit today. Grant us the deep devotion to follow You wholeheartedly, and let Your grace and power be evident in everything we do. Give us the wisdom to speak Your truth with boldness and love, even in the face of opposition. May our lives honor You and draw others closer to Your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
