(KJV) 1 Corinthians 7:14

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

HUSBAND … WIFE … CHILDREN / 1 CORINTHIANS 7:14

When a Christian is involved in a marriage with an unbeliever, the marriage and the children born to that union are still under God’s holy influence through the Christian spouse. For this reason, the believer should stay with the unbeliever and not divide the marriage or the home through separation or divorce. This passage certainly does not imply that the children of a Christian are spiritually saved or right with God because of their parent’s commitment to Christ, individuals must make that decision for themselves. However, through faithfulness to Christ, the Christian husband or wife may finally come to influence his or her spouse and family to accept Christ (1 Peter 3:1-2).
