EVERTHING IS PERMISSIBLE FOR ME / 1 CORINTHIANS 6:12

START YOUR DAY RIGHT DAILY DEVOTION

(KJV) 1 Corinthians 6:12

All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

EVERTHING IS PERMISSIBLE FOR ME / 1 CORINTHIANS 6:12

This statement is clearly a quotation of an argument used by Paul’s opponents concerning their Christian freedom. They thought they had the right to do whatever they wished. Paul clearly taught, however, that there are things that are not permissible for believers (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 18).
