(KJV) Colossians 1:11-12

 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; ¹² Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

In order to live in a manner worthy of being associated with and representing the Lord (Colossians 1:10), we must be strengthened by His power. This infusion of power is an ongoing experience of receiving from God His own lids by the presence of the Holy Spirit within us. Nothing else can enable us to overcome sin (the natural tendency to go our own God-defying way), Satan and the world (Philippians 4:13).
