PUT HIM IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN / GENESIS 2:15

(KJV) Genesis 2:15

 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Before sin entered the world, God created the first man holy, pure, and reserved entirely for His divine purposes. Free from transgression, Adam walked in a perfect, unbroken relationship with his Creator. As the peak of God’s creation, Adam was not placed in the Garden of Eden to live a life of idle leisure. Instead, God gave him the immediate responsibility of working under His direct alignment.

Humanity’s original purpose was to cultivate, protect, and care for creation. This pristine relationship and flawless vocation were tragically lost when Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s boundaries (Genesis 3:6, Genesis 3:14-19). However, Genesis 2:15 reminds us that our daily work was always meant to be an act of worship and stewardship under God.

Heavenly Father, thank You for creating us with intentionality and placing us in positions of purpose. We acknowledge that You created humanity holy and designed our work to reflect Your glory. Forgive us for the ways we have fallen short of Your perfect design. Help us to view our daily tasks as an opportunity to care for Your world and honor You. Restore our hearts and renew our dedication to serving You under Your loving direction. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
