I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: ²⁰That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Choosing Life: Why Loving God Is About Grace, Not Perfection

We often read Deuteronomy 30:19-20 as a strict checklist. The verse commands us to love the Lord our God, obey His voice, and hold fast to Him. In our modern, achievement-driven culture, it is easy to look at this passage and think, “If I just try harder, I can earn God’s favor.”

But a closer look at the Old Testament reveals a beautiful, liberating truth: Life and salvation were never promised as a reward for perfect obedience.

From the very beginning, God’s covenant with His people was built on a foundation of mercy and grace.

The Reality of Our Weakness

God knew from the start that the Israelites—and all of us—would fail to fulfill the law perfectly. The command to love God with all our heart, soul, and strength (Deuteronomy 6:5) sets a standard that our flawed human nature simply cannot meet on its own.

The law never assumed the perfection of God’s people. Instead, it explicitly assumed our imperfection.

This is why God established the sacrificial system in Leviticus. He provided a way for atonement:

The Problem: Human shortcomings and sin break our fellowship with a holy God.
The Provision: Leviticus 1:2 details the sacrifices brought to cover those failures.
The Purpose: The blood of the sacrifice satisfied the price of sin, acting as a bridge of mercy.

The sacrifices were a constant visual reminder that Israel’s ultimate hope did not rest in their own flawless performance. It rested entirely in God’s mercy and grace.

Clinging to the Source of Life

When Deuteronomy 30:19-20 tells us that the Lord is our life and the length of our days, it invites us into a relationship, not a courtroom.

Loving God means recognizing our inability to save ourselves. It means listening to His voice, stepping forward in obedience, and running straight to His grace when we stumble.

Today, we no longer bring animal sacrifices because Jesus Christ became our final, perfect atonement. Our faith and obedience are still imperfect, but His grace is absolute. We do not obey to earn His love; we obey because we are already loved.

A Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You that Your love for us does not depend on our perfect performance. Thank You for establishing a covenant of grace that covers our deepest shortcomings. Forgive us for the times we try to earn our salvation or rely on our own strength.

Lord, teach us how to truly love You, to listen closely to Your voice, and to hold fast to You above all else. We recognize that You alone are our life and the length of our days. That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.

The Promise of Restoration: A Deep Dive into Deuteronomy 30:3

In Deuteronomy 30:3, we find one of the most breathtaking and hope-filled promises in all of Scripture: “that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you.”

Long before the kingdoms fell or exiles began, Moses looked forward through the lens of divine prophecy. He foresaw a day when Israel would face the consequences of turning away, but he also prophesied a magnificent, sweeping restoration. This restoration involves far more than just a return to geographical borders; it is a profound spiritual and historical turning point that echoes throughout the Prophets and the New Testament.

Repentance and Return: Israel’s restoration is triggered by turning back to God with all their heart and soul (Deuteronomy 30:2, 8).
Regathering: The Lord promises to release His people from captivity and gather the remnant from the four corners of the earth (Deuteronomy 30:3-5).
Spiritual Renewal: God will circumcise their hearts, allowing them to love Him deeply and follow His ways (Deuteronomy 30:6; Ezekiel 11:17-20).
Prosperity and Blessing: The curses of disobedience are replaced by material and spiritual abundance (Deuteronomy 30:7-10).

The Grand Scope of Israel’s Final Restoration

This ultimately points to the great blessing that will be poured out on all who survive the judgments of the Great Tribulation (Isaiah 19:22-24; Micah 4:1-4), leading to a magnificent era where Christ and the Church reign over Israel and the nations (Revelation 20:4).

The Refining Fire of Judgment

Before this glorious peace is established, the scriptures warn of a period of divine justice. This includes judgment upon Israel (Ezekiel 20:34-38; Malachi 3:2-5), as well as a reckoning for the rebellious nations (Joel 3:1-2, 12-14; Matthew 25:32-46). Yet, the ultimate end of God’s plan is unmatched blessing and the establishment of His righteous kingdom.

A Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, we stand in awe of Your unchanging character and Your magnificent promises. Just as You promised to gather Israel from the ends of the earth, You prove that You are a God of restoration, redemption, and unfailing love.

We thank You for the spiritual renewal You offer to all who turn to You and Your Messiah. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and we look forward with great anticipation to the fulfillment of Your prophetic Word—when the earth will be filled with Your glory, and Your people will dwell in permanent peace and safety.

The Dangerous Illusion of “Self-Made Safety”

We all crave security, but there is a specific, dangerous deception that can creep into our spiritual lives: the belief that we can walk in open rebellion against God and still claim His protection [Deuteronomy 29:19].

In Deuteronomy 29:19, God warns against the person who hears the words of the covenant and blesses himself in his heart, saying, “I shall have peace, even though I follow the dictates of my my own heart.”

This ancient warning is a mirror for the modern church, exposing the lethal illusion of “self-made safety.”

The Anatomy of a Spiritual Delusion

The human heart is skilled at rationalization. Among God’s chosen people in the Old Testament, individuals presumed upon God’s covenant blessings while actively pursuing pagan idols. They mistakenly believed that their genetic heritage or their physical proximity to the community of faith made them immune to judgment.

This exact delusion thrives in the modern church. The New Testament repeatedly warns against those who profess faith but live in persistent, unrepentant disobedience:

False Professions: 1 John 2:4 states plainly, “He who says, ‘I know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”
Compromised Living: The church at Pergamum was rebuked for tolerating those who held to doctrines leading to spiritual compromise and sin (Revelation 2:14).

Claiming the title of a Christian without aiming to follow God’s will is not just a misunderstanding—it is an invalid profession of salvation.

The Hidden Poison in the Community

God does not view this self-deception as an isolated personal choice. In Deuteronomy 29:18, He compares the unrepentant heart to a root producing bitter poison and wormwood.

The author of Hebrews picks up this exact imagery to warn the New Testament church: “Look carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled” (Hebrews 12:15).

A person who claims Christ but walks in persistent willful sin acts like spiritual toxic waste in a local church. Their lifestyle:

Normalizes compromise among other believers.
Blurs the line between holiness and the world.
Invites severe judgment upon themselves (Deuteronomy 29:20-21).

True grace transforms us; it never grants a license to persist in going our own way.

Turning Back to Truth

Real peace is not the absence of consequences while we do whatever we want. Real peace is found exclusively in surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. If you have been comforting yourself with a prayer you said years ago while actively walking away from God today, let this be a loving wake-up call. God invites us out of the danger zone of self-will and into the safety of His true shelter.

A Closing Prayer for Surrender

Heavenly Father,

Forgive me for the times I have sought comfort in my own ways instead of Your truth. Search my heart today. Root out any deceptive thought that tells me I can enjoy Your peace while walking in open rebellion to Your will.

I do not want to be a root of defilement or compromise in Your church. Deliver me from the illusion of self-made safety. I surrender my stubborn will, my secret sins, and my personal agendas to You.

Wash me fresh by the blood of Jesus. Grant me the grace, strength, and desire to walk in true obedience, finding my absolute security only in Your presence. Lead me in the way everlasting.

The Warning of the Wandering Heart: Reflections on Deuteronomy 29:18-21

When we read the sweeping promises of blessing and life in Deuteronomy, it is easy to view them strictly on a national scale. The promises of God were indeed made to Israel as a corporate body. However, as Deuteronomy 29:18-21 reveals, belonging to the community of faith does not automatically guarantee an individual’s eternal security regardless of their choices. An individual within God’s chosen people only participated in those promised blessings by entering into a genuine faith relationship with God and persevering in it.

These verses offer a sobering reality check: eternal life and temporal blessings could be lost by any individual who allowed their heart to turn away from the Lord.

The Anatomy of Spiritual Drift

Spiritual ruin rarely happens overnight. The passage describes a deeply gradual, internal shift. It begins when an individual’s heart quietly turns away from the Lord to chase after the “gods of those nations” (Deuteronomy 29:18). This inward turning produces a bitter root—a poisonous attitude that eventually infects an individual’s entire life and community.

When a heart turns away, it produces a stubborn pride. Verse 19 describes a person who hears the warnings of God’s law but stubbornly continues to go their own way, flattering themselves by thinking, “I shall be safe, even though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart.” It is the ultimate delusion: living in direct rebellion against God while presuming upon His grace.

The Severity of Persistent Rebellion

For those who belonged to the covenant community but turned away and stubbornly persisted in their own path, the consequences outlined in Scripture are terrifying. This passage indicates a point where the opportunity for repentance and forgiveness is forfeited.

Because they hardened their hearts, the Lord would not be willing to forgive them. Instead, His jealousy and wrath would smoke against that person. Their name would be “blotted out from under heaven” (Deuteronomy 29:20), separated eternally from the blessings, protection, and life that God provides.

A Call to Steadfast Faith

This ancient warning echoes into our lives today. It reminds us that faith is not merely an inherited status, a cultural label, or a one-time decision. It is an active, ongoing, persevering relationship with the Living God. It requires us to guard our hearts diligently, to root out any bitterness or stubborn independence, and to submit daily to the Lordship of Christ.

Let us not presume upon God’s grace while walking in our own ways. Instead, let these verses drive us to our knees, seeking a soft, pliable heart that remains tethered to the grace of God.

Heavenly Father, search my heart today. I confess that it is so easy for my affections to wander and for stubbornness to take root in my life. And the Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.

The Weight of Wandering: Understanding the Scattering of Israel

God fulfills His words with absolute precision, both in judgment and in mercy. In Deuteronomy 28:64, Moses delivered a sobering prophetic warning to the Israelites before they entered the Promised Land: “Then the Lord will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other.” This verse outlines the strict covenantal consequences of turning away from God to serve idols. A look at secular and Biblical history reveals that this scattering was not a metaphorical warning. It happened exactly as God said it would, unfolding across centuries through four distinct historical periods.

The Babylonian Captivity (586 B.C.): The southern kingdom of Judah failed to learn from the north’s mistakes. King Nebuchadnezzar captured Jerusalem, burned the First Temple, and dragged the elite population to Babylon, as described in 2 Kings 25:21.
The Greek Dispersion (3rd Century B.C.): Following the conquests of Alexander the Great, massive populations of Jewish citizens moved or were forcibly relocated across the Hellenistic world. A significant portion settled in Alexandria, Egypt, where the Hebrew Scriptures were later translated into the Greek Septuagint.
The Roman Destruction (A.D. 70): The final, most extensive scattering occurred when Roman legions under Titus crushed the Jewish rebellion, tore down the Second Temple, and drove the survivors into global exile. This directly fulfilled the warnings in Luke 21:20-24 and set the stage for the global diaspora that lasted for millennia.

The Hope of Regathering

Judgment never gets the final word in God’s plan. The exact same scriptures that promised a global scattering also guarantee a miraculous return.

Deuteronomy 30:3 provides the ultimate theological counter-weight to the curses of exile: “Then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you.” God uses seasons of wandering to purify His people, draw them back to humility, and display His unyielding faithfulness to the covenants He makes. The Weight of Disobedience: Understanding the “Nation Against You”

Deuteronomy 28 stands as one of the most sobering chapters in all of Scripture. While the first fourteen verses paint a beautiful picture of the blessings that follow obedience, the remainder of the chapter outlines the horrific consequences of turning away from God.

In Deuteronomy 28:49-57, the warning reaches a terrifying climax. Moses describes a ruthless “nation against you” brought by God from afar. This text serves as a stark reminder of the reality of divine judgment and the tragic cost of spiritual rebellion.

The Anatomy of judgment: Deuteronomy 28:49-57

Moses outlines several specific characteristics of this invading army:

Swift and Merciless: They arrive like an eagle swooping down on its prey.
Foreign and Alien: They speak a language that Israel cannot understand, cutting off any hope of negotiation or diplomacy.

In the 8th century B.C., the Northern Kingdom of Israel fell to the ruthless Assyrian Empire. The prophet Hosea explicitly mirrored Moses’ language, warning that judgment was coming swiftly: “Set the trumpet to your mouth! He shall come like an eagle against the house of the Lord, because they have transgressed My covenant and rebelled against My law” (Hosea 8:1).

2. The Babylonian Exile

Two centuries later, the Southern Kingdom of Judah faced the same fate under King Nebuchadnezzar. Jeremiah described the Babylonians as an eagle flying to devour (Jeremiah 48:40). The tragic sieges and subsequent destructions detailed in 2 Kings 25:1-21; Jeremiah 39:1-10; Jeremiah 52:28-30 perfectly match the desperate, starving conditions foretold by Moses.

3. The Roman Siege of A.D. 70

Centuries later, Jesus stood overlooking Jerusalem and wept, foreknowing the ultimate fulfillment of this curse. In Luke 21:20, Jesus warned, “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.” In A.D. 70, the Roman legions—whose very standard was the eagle—besieged Jerusalem. The historian Josephus recorded horrors within the city walls during this siege that directly mirror the desperate cannibalism prophesied in Deuteronomy 28:53-57.

The Ultimate Takeaway

God does not delight in judgment. He warned His people repeatedly, sending prophets to beg them to return to Him. The tragedy of Deuteronomy 28 is that Israel chose to abandon the protective hand of their Covenant God. When a nation or an individual walks away from God’s presence, they walk away from His protection, leaving themselves entirely vulnerable to the forces of destruction.

The good news for us today is that while the curse of the law is real, Galatians 3:13 tells us that “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us.” Let us not take His grace for granted, but walk in daily obedience, gratitude, and reverence.

When Blessings Turn to Warnings: Understanding Deuteronomy 28:15

Deuteronomy 28 is famous for its opening verses. We love to read about blessings overtaking us in the city, in the field, and in our coming and going. But midway through the chapter, the tone shifts dramatically. Moses introduces a sobering reality that we cannot afford to ignore.

“But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you.” — Deuteronomy 28:15

The Weight of Moses’ Prophecy

God never leaves His people in the dark about the consequences of their choices. Moses laid out a clear prophetic warning of what happens when a nation or an individual deliberately turns away from God.

The consequences he prophesied were severe and literal:

Divine Rebuke: Losing the peace, favor, and presence of God.
Destruction: Seeing the fruits of hard labor crumble away.
Great Sorrow: Walking through heavy mental, emotional, and spiritual anguish.
Captivity and Dispersion: Becoming scattered, isolated, and enslaved by the very things chosen over God.

Overtaken by Consequences

The phrase “will come upon you” carries immense weight. Just as God’s blessings are powerful enough to chase us down, systemic disobedience creates a spiritual gravity that pulls hardship into our lives. Curses do not need an invitation; they simply fill the vacuum left when we push God away.

This prophecy was fulfilled historically through Israel’s exile, but its spiritual principle remains active today. God does not pull back His protection out of malice, but out of respect for our free will. When we step outside of His boundaries, we step into enemy territory.

The Path Home

The beauty of the Gospel is that Deuteronomy 28 does not have to be the end of our story. Galatians 3:13 tells us that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us.

If you feel overtaken by sorrow, confusion, or defeat today, it is time to stop running. God’s grace is ready to reverse the cycle the moment we return to Him in true obedience.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the honesty of Your Word. Thank You that You love us enough to warn us when we are heading toward destruction. Lord, forgive us for the times we have tuned out Your voice and walked in our own stubborn ways.

We ask that You guard our hearts against disobedience. Deliver us from any areas of captivity, sorrow, or spiritual dispersion. We place our lives back under Your lordship and thank You for the grace found in Jesus Christ, who broke every curse on our behalf. Fill us with a desire to observe Your ways carefully.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

SETS IT UP IN SECRET / DEUTERONOMY 27:15

(KJV) Deuteronomy 27:15

Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

The God Who Sees: Living in the Light of His Presence

It is easy to maintain an appearance of righteousness when others are watching, but what happens behind closed doors? In Deuteronomy 27, as the Israelites prepared to enter the Promised Land, Moses instructed the Levites to proclaim a series of curses over the people. The gathered tribes were to respond to each with a resounding “Amen”.

What is fascinating about this pivotal moment in covenant history is the nature of the offenses. Many of the sins listed were inherently private—done in secret. From setting up a hidden idol to striking down a neighbor in secret, these were actions that could easily evade the eyes of human witnesses and the judgment of earthly courts.

Accountability in the Dark

By establishing these specific curses, Israel was making a profound theological declaration: a person is always accountable to God, even when they sin in private. The location of the secret sin doesn’t matter; human precautions and locked doors cannot hide anything from the Creator.

This is a timeless reality. When we harbor bitterness, entertain lust, act deceitfully, or set up “secret idols” in our hearts, we are fully exposed to the gaze of a holy God. God sees past our public facades and looks directly at the motives, thoughts, and intents of the heart.

The Comfort of Omniscience

While the reality of God’s all-seeing eye can be convicting, it ultimately brings profound comfort. Psalm 139 beautifully reminds us that we cannot flee from God’s Spirit. The psalmist marvels: “O Lord, You have searched me and known me… You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.”

When we accept that our thoughts and actions occur constantly in God’s presence, we are set free from the exhausting burden of pretending. Because God knows us intimately, we don’t have to hide our struggles or fears from Him. We can bring our hidden weaknesses directly into the light, receive His grace, and allow His presence to transform us from the inside out.

A Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, You are the God who sees all things. You know the secrets of every heart, and no thought is hidden from Your sight. I confess that I have sometimes tried to hide my struggles, harboring private sins or setting up secret idols away from the eyes of others. Forgive me for the times I have forgotten that I am always living in Your presence. Search me, O God, and know my heart today. Lead me away from the shadows of secrecy and into the freedom of Your truth, that every action and thought may bring You honor. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

THE LORD BROUGHT US OUT / DEUTERONOMY 26:8

(KJV) Deuteronomy 26:8

And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

Remembered and Redeemed: Living in the Light of God’s Mercy

We all have a story of where we used to be. For the ancient Israelites, that story was one of harsh bondage, heavy burdens, and a desperate cry for help.

In Deuteronomy 26:8, we find the powerful climax of their rescue: “So the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders.”

The Israelites were expected to always remember that their existence and redemption came about because of what God had done for them. They were to confess this truth publicly (Deuteronomy 26:3-9) and continue their worship with offerings, thanksgiving, joy, goodness toward others, and obedience to God’s commands (Deuteronomy 26:12-15). Their identity was rooted entirely in their Deliverer.

Our Story of Rescue

As believers in Christ, we share this exact same call to remembrance. We likewise owe our lives and salvation to God’s mercy through Christ. We have been redeemed and purchased by His death and have become His own possession (Ephesians 1:13-14; 1 Peter 1:18; 1 Peter 1:19; 1 Peter 2:9-10).

Just as Israel was pulled out of Egypt, we have been pulled out of the kingdom of darkness. Our “Egypt” was our sin, our shame, and our inability to save ourselves. But God, with an outstretched arm on the cross, brought us out.

The Response of Gratitude

Redemption is never the end of the story; it is the beginning of a transformed life. Because we belong to Him, our daily lives should reflect our gratitude.

From now on, we must live in gratitude as living sacrifices to our Lord, not being conformed to this world but being transformed (changed) by the Holy Spirit, that we may do His will (Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 2:8-9).

Every act of obedience, every moment of praise, and every hand extended in kindness to others is our way of saying, “I remember what You did for me.” Let us live today as people who are visibly, joyfully redeemed.

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We stand in awe of Your mighty hand and Your outstretched arm. Thank You for bringing us out of our own Egypt—out of the bondage of sin and death—and leading us into Your marvelous light. We confess today that our salvation and our very breath belong to You.

Forgive us for the times we forget Your goodness. Holy Spirit, transform our minds and guard us against conforming to this world. Help us to live each day as living sacrifices, overflowing with joy, obedience, and love for others. May our lives be a public testimony of Your redeeming love.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

NOT MUZZLE AN OX / DEUTERONOMY 25:4

(KJV) Deuteronomy 25:4

Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.

The Ox, the Worker, and the Heart of God: Understanding Deuteronomy 25:4

Tucked away in the ancient laws of Deuteronomy is a single, short sentence that carries a massive spiritual punch: “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” (Deuteronomy 25:4).

At first glance, this looks like a simple rule for ancient farmers. But as we dig deeper into Scripture, we find that this verse reveals a profound truth about God’s character, how we treat workers, and our responsibility to those who ministry to us.

1. God Cares for Creation

In ancient times, an ox would walk in circles over harvested grain to separate the kernels from the husks. A farmer might be tempted to muzzle the ox to keep it from eating the profits.

God strictly forbade this. He commanded that working animals be given sufficient feed to maintain their strength and health. This law established a standard of compassion:

Animals must be treated humanely.
Workers must be rewarded for their labor in real-time.
God’s people must reject corporate greed that tramples on the vulnerable.

If God cares this deeply about the hunger of a working animal, imagine how much more He cares about the well-being of human beings made in His image.

2. The Principle of Fair Wages

The heart of this command is simple: People deserve fair treatment and just compensation for their labor.

When we hold back fair pay, we violate the character of a generous God. Scripture consistently warns against exploiting workers, withholding wages, or overworking employees without proper reward. A healthy society—and a healthy church—is one where labor is honored, respected, and properly compensated.

3. Supporting Those Who Serve

The New Testament takes this Old Testament law and applies it directly to the local church. The Apostle Paul quotes Deuteronomy 25:4 in two different letters to make a point about church leadership:

1 Corinthians 9:9-11: Paul explains that God didn’t write this law just for oxen; He wrote it for us. Those who sow spiritual seeds among us have a right to reap a material harvest to sustain their lives.
1 Timothy 5:17-18: Paul writes that elders who rule well—especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching—are worthy of “double honor” (which includes financial support). He couples the ox proverb with Jesus’ own words: “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

Those who labor in the ministry, pastor local churches, or work for Christian institutions should be paid reasonable, fair, and sustaining wages. Ministry is joyful, but it is also hard work. When we take care of our ministers, we free them to serve God’s people with joy rather than financial anxiety.

Final Thoughts

Deuteronomy 25:4 challenges us to look at our own lives, businesses, and churches. Are we muzzling the people who bless us? Or are we living out the generous, refreshing character of God? Let us be a people who honor labor, practice deep gratitude, and care well for those who serve on the front lines of faith.

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, You are a just, loving, and deeply compassionate God. Thank You for Your Word, which reminds us that You care about the smallest details of creation—even the hunger of a working ox. Lord, open our eyes to the value of labor around us. Forgive us for the times we take workers for granted or seek our own gain at the expense of others.

We pray specifically today for our pastors, ministers, and Christian workers. We ask that You protect them from burnout and financial strain. Give our churches and ministries the wisdom, generosity, and resources to take excellent care of those who preach Your Gospel. Help us to be cheerful givers and fair leaders, reflecting Your generous heart to a watching world. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
