EASTER SUNDAY APRIL 20, 2025

Easter Sunday is one of the most festive events among Christians worldwide. It commemorates Jesus Christ’s resurrection from death, as written in the Bible.

Many Christians worldwide celebrate Easter with special church services, music, candlelight, flowers and the ringing of church bells. Easter processions are held in some countries such as the Philippines and Spain. Many Christians view Easter as the greatest feast of the Church year. It is a day of joy and celebration to commemorate that Jesus Christ is risen, according to Christian belief.

Although Easter maintains great religious significance, many children in countries such as Australia, Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, think of it as a time to get new spring clothes, to decorate eggs and to participate in Easter egg hunts where eggs are hidden by the Easter Bunny. Some children receive Easter baskets full of candy, snacks, and presents around this time of the year.

The good news of Easter, and every day, is that Jesus died for the sins of humankind and was resurrected. His resurrection shows that He is the promised Messiah, Savior, and divine Son of God.

A common belief is that Easter is about bunnies and eggs, a day that celebrates the coming of spring. Although Easter egg hunts are fun, and the blooming flowers are beautiful parts of God’s creation, there is something infinitely better to celebrate — the cross and the empty tomb.

On Easter, Christians gather to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The day is joyous with praise and thanksgiving for the gift of salvation that we receive through Jesus’ death and resurrection. Christians celebrate and declare this good news because it is foundational to our faith and hope.

Without the resurrection of Christ, we would still be lost in our sins and hopeless. Therefore, Easter is important to Christianity because it reminds us of Jesus’ resurrection, which impacts all areas of our faith and life.

The good news of Easter, and every day, is that Jesus died for the sins of humankind and was resurrected. His resurrection shows that He is the promised Messiah, Savior, and divine Son of God.

Also, the truth of the empty tomb is vital to our salvation and foundational to our faith. Because He lives, we have hope, life, and an everlasting relationship with the One who loves us most. That is worth celebrating!

GOOD FRIDAY APRIL 18, 2025

Good Friday is the Friday preceding Easter Sunday and is the day Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross. We can celebrate on Good Friday because Christ’s death was a sacrifice so that we could receive the gift of eternal life. The Bible tells us that Jesus bore our sins, shame, and burden on the cross. The results changed the course of humanity and what man meant for evil through killing Jesus; God meant for good!

1 Peter 2:24 – He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

Mark 9:31 – For he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise.”

Mark 10:34 – And they will mock him and spit on him, and flog him and kill him. And after three days he will rise.”

Isaiah 53:5 – But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

Romans 5:6-10 – For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

Mark 8:31 – And he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes and be killed, and after three days rise again.

Matthew 12:40 – For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

PRAYER FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL

PRAYER FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL

We start a new month, April, as the seasons shift and the environment around us takes on the vivid colors of spring. Every day brings new possibilities for development, obstacles to conquer, and reward beyond measure. One thing never changes in the flow of life: the effectiveness of prayer.

Our relationship with God is forged through prayer, which also serves as a guiding light in life’s uncertainties. As we approach April, think, ask for wisdom, and lift our hearts in prayer to the One who keeps everything together.

PRAYER FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH 2025

PRAYER FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH 2025

In many areas of the world, March is a season of new awakenings. The earth begins to thaw after months of being buried beneath autumn’s fallen canopy. The long cold months have mostly passed, and the season ahead is full of hope and potential.

March is a season of restoration for God’s created world. The trees begin to sprout tiny bulbs, and the wildflowers emerges through the soil.

families emerge from their homes to plant bulbs and prepare backyard gardens. We trip off winter coats and enjoy the sunshine, setting on the porch.

This time of year, if you look closely, you can see all of God’s creations coming to life. So many blessings!

March Prayer

Dear Lord, we thank you for bringing us to the start of a new month. We pray that when this month is over, we will be closer to you than we are at this moment. Please bless our family and friends and keep them safely in your care. We ask for your healing hand to be upon those who are ill and we ask for your hand of provision to meet each need. We thank you in advance for all you will do.

In Jesus’ name Amen

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025

One thing you can be certain about in the coming year is that you can’t be certain about what is ahead. This is a great blessing, because you do not need to know. To know what is ahead and the details of what will happen would be too great a burden to carry and too great a responsibility to bear.

James 4:15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”

What you do need to know about the future is not what is ahead of you, but Who is ahead of you. It is the Lord who goes before you, is ahead of you, and is preparing the way for you. Your future is in His sure, strong, caring hands.

Genesis 28:15  I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

As you pass through the door of 2024 and enter the door of 2025, here are six of the needs you are certain to have…

  1. There will be the need for prayer:
Until you get to heaven, there will always be the need for prayer. In every prayer as a believer, you will be speaking to the living God, your loving Father—the One who invites you to come, the One who hears your cries, the One who answers your prayers, and the One who will work all things together for the good according to His will and purpose.
  2. There will be the need to trust:
God does not want you to be fearful or worried about what is ahead. He will give what you need when you need it; He will tell what you need to know when it is time to know it; He will show what you need to see when it is time to see it. When He is silent about any matter, be at peace about it and do not become anxious.
  3. There will be the need to obey:
You will never outgrow your need for obedience. To obey the Lord is to please the Lord. He will always give you the provision, the time, and the opportunity to do what He has asked you to do. If He is not asking you to do anything new or different at the present time, continue to do the last thing He asked of you.
  4. There will be the need to forgive:
No one will ever act perfectly or speak perfectly to you. Even those who love you will not perform perfectly. Forgiveness is an attitude of the heart and a choice of the will that you must walk in each day. Some people carry hurt, bitterness, or resentment in their hearts for years, never wanting to let go of the past. As you go through the door of 2025, drop at the entryway, all the hurts of yesterday and carry them no more.
  5. There will be the need to be faithful:
In 2025 you will need to press on in the will of God for your life; you will need to walk on through the valleys and over the mountain tops that you will face; you will need to carry on in your service of love to others; you will need to live on in the will of God with a thankful heart, with praise upon your lips, and with zeal in your spirit.
  6. There will be the need for Jesus:
Every day, in every moment, through every circumstance of 2025 you will need Jesus. You will need Him fully and you will need to trust Him completely. You will need His grace to enable you, His Spirit to empower you, His strength to support you, and His counsel to instruct you in all the will of God.

The best place is wherever He puts us. Do not think about distant events. This uneasiness about the future is unwholesome for you. We must leave all to God.

NOVEMBER HAPPY NEW MONTH!

It’s November! November brings a time for reflection, gratitude, and seeking God’s presence as we approach the year’s end. As the Bible reminds us. “Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually!” (1 Chronicles 16:11). This month, let us focus on prayers that open our hearts to God’s guidance, provision, and protection.

In this new month just keep Praying, keep pressing, keep trusting and keep Believing in God the best is still coming your way.

OCTOBER PRAYER

James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, as we step into the month of October, we are reminded of the changing seasons and the beauty of Your creation. We thank You for the blessings and gifts You have given us each and every day, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes from you, the unchanging source of all goodness and light.

In this new month, Lord, we pray for open hearts and grateful spirits. Help us to recognize and appreciate Your abundant blessings, both big and small that surround us. May we never take Your grace and provision for granted but continue to offer our thanks and praise.

As Jesus taught us to be content and trust in Your provision, may we follow His example. Help us to rely on Your faithfulness, just as He relied on You during His earthly journey. In moments of doubt or worry, may we remember that You ae our constant source of hope and blessing.

Lord, as October unfolds, may it be a month of deepening faith and trust in You. May we live in the awareness of Your presence and Your unwavering love for us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
