FROM AMBUSH HE MURDERS THE INNOCENT / PSALMS 10:8-10

(KJV) Psalms 10:8-10

He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. ⁹ He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net. ¹⁰ He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.

1. Out of greed (Psalms 10:3), such people tap the poor, the young, the careless and the thoughtless within their nets. They are clever as they advertise the benefits and pleasures of their products, but their plan is a trap that will cause much suffering to those who partake of their evil deeds (Psalms 10:9). 
2. These wicked and arrogant individuals seem to be unaware of their moral accountability to God (Psalms 10:3-4, 11, 13); but their final end will be destruction (Psalms 73). God’s people should not be involved in anything that would harm another human being. In compassion, the righteous are to be fully occupied with helping others, especially encouraging them to avoid harmful temptations.
