Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
FIRST GRAIN YOU HARVEST / LEVITICUS 23:10
The Feast of Firstfruits (Leviticus 23:10-14), which occurred in connection with the Feast of Unleavened Bread, acknowledged that all crops and produce came from the Lord. The first fruits (the first and best of the harvest, not the leftovers) were to be dedicated to God. For New Testament believers, this illustrates how our entire lives must be dedicated to God. That is because Christians are the “first fruits” of Christ’s work of salvation (James 1:18; Revelation 14:4).
