(KJV) Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
BELIEVE THAT HE EXISTS / HEBREWS 11:6
This verse describes the convictions – the deep convincing beliefs – that are a part of saving faith.
- We must believe in the existence of a personal, infinite, holy God who cares for us.
- We must believe that God will respond to us and reward us when we sincerely look to Him in faith, knowing that our greatest reward is the joy and presence of God Himself. He is our shield and our very great reward (Genesis 15:1; Deuteronomy 4:29; Matthew 7:7-8: John 14:2).
- We must diligently pursue a deeper relationship with God and passionately desire His presence, power and purpose in our lives. (John 1:12; 5:24).
