(KJV) Revelation 1:4-5

John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; ⁵ And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

This is a specific reference to the eternal nature of God the Father (Exodus 3:14, 15). “The seven spirits” refer to the completeness and perfection of all aspects of the Holy Spirit’s work in the church and in the world. God’s Son, Jesus, is here named as “the firstborn from the dead” (Colossians 1:18) and as the ultimate King over all things (Revelation 19:16). All three Persons of the Trinity (the one true God in three distinct, interrelated and unified persons; Mark 1:11) are cited in this opening blessing. All three share the same attributes as the eternal God, with all power, authority and perfection.
