(KJV) Luke 2:22-23 ²² And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; ²³ (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)

Just as Joseph and Mary went to the temple to dedicate Jesus to God’s service, all parents should sincerely dedicate their children to God and commit to raise them in a way that honors Him. They should pray continually that from the beginning to the end of each child’s life, they will commit themselves to Christ and be devoted to honoring Him and fulfilling God’s plans for them.
