For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
MANY DECEIVERS / 2 JOHN 1:7
John warns that many deceivers and false teachers are perverting (twisting or changing the meaning of) the message of God’s Word and attempting to persuade Christians to accept their views. Their false teaching concerns the person of Jesus Christ. They deny that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, born of a virgin (Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:27). They deny that His sacrificial death provides forgiveness for the sins of all who accept Him by faith and entrust their lives to Him (1 John 2:2; 1 John 4:9-10).
