IT BECAME A SNAKE / EXODUS 7:12
- The magicians’ staffs also turned into snakes but through demonic power. The hearts and minds of the Egyptians were turned strongly toward magic, the supernatural and mysterious (occultism), the work of evil spirits (spiritism) and sorcery (the work of wizards or witches) as part of their religion. But when Aaron’s staff, or walking stick, swallowed their staffs, the God of Israel was showing that His power was greater than the power of Egypt’s gods.
- In the final days before Christ’s return, Satan will display miracles through false ministers within the church and through the antichrist (2 Timothy 3:8). Christians must not assume that the miracles they see are always evidence of the true God at work (Revelation 16:14; Revelation 19:20).
