I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

As followers of Christ, it is our responsibility and privilege to pray for people, particularly those around us – family, friends, and leaders (1 Timothy 2:2). This is God’s desire (1 Timothy 2:3) because our prayers are instrumental in bringing others into a spiritually saving personal relationship with Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 2:4).
